GENERAL
The RV Tortuga is owned, operated, and maintained by Whales & Co. LLC . Our personell is hired after carefull review of references and experience, and if there is the need trained to serve at sea. Passengers assume all responsibility for themselves while onboard the vessel and they are liable to disobey direct orders coming from the Captain or any crew member as precetted by Federal Laws.

TOURS
Our tours are subject to schedule changes, prices increase, sometime fuel surcharge (the latter apply only to private charters for circumstances beyond our control).

PERSONAL CONDUCT AND LIABILITY
Being at sea on a boat is Dangerous! The RV Tortuga is very spacious, notwithstanding that it is very easy to get a head bump when passing from a deck to another or coming on board.  The RV Tortuga is a working boat; meaning bare foot, flip flops and heels are strongly discourage. Inherent risks of injury from the nonskid floor of our deck such as cuts can be prevented by wear a normal pair of sneakers. Also bring protective eyewear, long-sleeve shirts, gloves, and other warm gear. We provide blankets to warm you up but out there can be really chill sometime. Please use your best judgment in deciding what to wear or bring aboard, based on the anticipated weather, sea conditions, and type of tour you've booked. PRIVATE FISHING CHARTER
If we take you out fishing, we do not guarentee you will catch fish. It is up to the individual to understand the different fish you may encounter in the different seasons around Anacapa and Santa Cruz Island. Please read more about it in our dedicated webpage section (Fishing off the Islands) which introduce the most common fish species of California and their seasonality from educational material provided free of cost by NOAA and the California National Park Service. In case Fish Counts has to be reported it shall be the Captain to do so and the customer paying the fees.

LOST  & FOUND
Whales & Co. LLC is not responsible for any forgotten, lost or stolen articles, including, tackle, phones, clothing, sunglasses or anything else. Please make sure you have all your personal belongings before you disembark. Please report us any missing items and in case, you shall just pay the postage to get back your stuff.

DISCRIMINATION
At Whales & Co. LLC we DO NOT tollerate bad manners. Meaning the captain is the only person that can avoid to use the word "please" while asking you or his crew to do something. Everyone else onboard is expected to show courtesy to the crew and each other. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone or desenbark who does not comply with our courtesy policy which is guaranteed to anyone disregarding race, religion, color, national origin, sex, childbirth and related conditions, lactation status, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran or military status,  or any other protected status as required by the Federal Law of the United States of America.
